Our Story
Will Sheffield acquired Hurstwood Cider in 2024, following a fortuitous encounter at The Hurstwood Pub and having planted over 200 apple trees that same year, with the intention of producing Cider in the future.
Since then, Will has planted over 1,000 apple trees and produced a number of Hurstwood Cider batches using local apples. This year, his own home-grown apples at Meadow Brook Farm will be a part of the harvest, and will be bottled into the Medium and Medium Dry ciders.
Will’s background is in small batch farming and the last 10 years has been focused on hand-rearing free range, slow grown Bronze Turkeys each year - to find out more, head to our website Meadow Brook Turkeys
Just like the turkeys, the cider will be produced in the most sustainable way and as much production as possible will take place on the off-grid farm in East Sussex.
Will’s daughters Kim and Alice are part of the team behind the scenes, working on the social media, marketing and production lines.
